PlumePack
The Best Project Manager for Premiere Pro !
PlumePack - v2.4.0
- Main PlumePack Features and Improvements:
- Support for Premiere Pro 2025 / v25 and macOS 15 Sequoia
- New Option: "Trim if file has an Alpha Channel" to be able to avoid trim of such files
- New Option: "Only Process Used Angle in Multicam Sequence" to be able now to disable this option, so for the same trimmed time inside a Multicam Sequence, you will still be able to select between other takes
- Trimming is now MUCH faster when original files are on Slow Drives (like network drives) and have not variable framerate. With this change, time spent for a whole process on a a big project has been recorded from 27h to 10min !
- Improved keyframe detection in H264 / H265 codecs, resulting in smaller files trimmed
- Add copy support for Panasonic P2 Media Folder Structure, used with DV Codec Media for example. So it well copies Audio but also XML, XMP, and BMP file dependencies
- As First B-Frames can not be trimmed, when those frames are not used setting Handles will not add those frames (before it was creating a Trim error and the file was copied)
- New Option : "Omit First B-Frames if Necessary (Black Frame Risk)" to be able to force trimming when First B-Frames are used and making those frames black in the project
- Blackmagic RAW from 3.6.1 to 4.3 - Adds Trimming support for .braw clips recorded with:
- Blackmagic PYXIS 6K
- Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF
- Panasonic GH7
- Panasonic S5D
- Fujifilm GFX100S II
- Fujifilm X-T50
- Fujifilm X-M5
- Fixed in PlumePack Process:
- Hidden Error: Some Timecodes metadata ("Media Start" metadata in Premiere Pro) could be wrong after trimming. It could result in shifted clips while relinking original footage by trimmed footage by hand.
- Hidden Error: Trimmed Footages from original with premultiplied alpha channel are considered with straight alpha channel, which can result in a different aspect. In such case, PlumePack now forces the trimmed footage to be considered as premultiplied by changing the value in "Interpret footage", so the trimmed project looks the same. However when importing the trimmed file another time or in another software, it will still be considered with Straight Alpha. A warning should be now present in the final report for this case.
- Explicit Error: Fixed issue while trimming files with .mkv or .webm extensions (which can be trimmed with the special PlumePack Beta Codecs option)
- Explicit Error: Having .mp3 files in the project could result with warning about process being longer than usual
- Explicit Error: Some errors could happen when using Audio Remixed Clips from latest Premiere Pro v24
- Explicit Error: Some Markers in the Project could involve error
- Explicit Error: Trimming R3D files, .RMD sidecar file could prevent the file to be trimmed when located on some external drive
- Explicit Error: "Recursion in PP_fillFinalRelativePathAndFilename" Red error when a file path was too long for the OS filesystem
- The PlumePack .txt report can not be imported in the final project anymore, due to Premiere Pro 2025 issues while importing it. The option for that has been removed.
